About
Handgun Fundamentals: This curriculum introduces participants thoughtfully and methodically to the fundamentals of handgun safety and operation. We are empathic to participants and the value of providing a comfortable and safe learning space. After all, we are dealing with a dangerous tool that must be approached with respect. Designed not only for beginners, the agenda topics below help ensure a responsible mindset and operation. More importantly, you get TWO dedicated highly experienced instructors. The smaller class is intentionally designed to provide a sense of collaborative private instruction to focus on: Mindset, discipline, awareness and respect Safety and etiquette (PPE provided for use during class) Handgun types and ammunition (You will operate three major brands in 9mm: Glock, Sig, Springfield) Comfortability with handling, functions, assembly Physical repetition on loading, cycling, and malfunctions Stance, grip, sight picture, breathing, trigger control Dry fire and live range shooting (50 rounds of 9mm) Contact us for private group scheduling. Maximum 3 participants Handgun Defense and Retention: Handgun ownership doesn't start and end with proficient shooting at the range alone. Citizens own guns for home defense and now more common than ever, concealed carry. Most DO NOT take time to think about how do you keep someone from taking your gun and how you defend from someone who has a gun. Responsible ownership and concealed carrying MUST include handgun defense and retention skills. In this class you will learn: Mindset, discipline, awareness and respect How to maintain control of your gun and how to gain control of a gun Common close quarters situations Responsibility and risks when carrying or deploying a handgun The handgun is an extension of your body Handgun retention and disarm techniques Importance of a weapons system (inclusion of non-lethal options) Contact us for private group scheduling.
